New England

The northeastern-most section of the United States, containing small states like Maine, New Hampsire, and Connecticut. The weather is usually cold and rainy, though warm days are no rarity.

Middle Atlantic

A small section just south and east of New England. Contains only the states of New York, Pennsilvania, and New Jersey. Despite small number of states this is one of the most inhabited regions in the US, mostly for the Famous New York City, containing more citizens per square mile than any city in the country.

South Atlantic

A section of the US which lines the remaining Atlantic coast south of the Middle Atlantic border. Containing numerous large states, including both Virginias and Florida, as the small states Delaware and Maryland, this section is likely the most culturally diverse throughout the USA.

East North Central

Also called the Great-Lake area, this is a chunk of the US is generally quiet, containing states like Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin, as well Idaho and Indiana. Actually that's all this section consists of. It is most famous for its incredibly large freshwater lakes on the coast.

East South Central

A section due south of the North East Central section. This area is known for having the most heavily stereotypical Southern USA population, containing Alabama, Mississipi, Tennessee and Kentucky. The drawl will follow you all the way to the Gulf.

West North Central

Sometimes called the Agricultural Heartland, this belt of land consists of many states large and medium states, Iowa, Nebraska, the Dakotas, Missouri and other such states. Despite very little fame in that area, it is actually very liveable, having an abundance of affordable housing. Great place to raise your kids.

West South Central

The southernmost section of the USA most for steaks, guns, oversized items of every sort, and hot sauce. Containing the states of Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkanas, and the largest state, Texas.

Mountain

The overall largest region of the US, covering all the area between the Pacific and North and South Central regions. Containing a large number of large states, including Nevada, Montana, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah. This region contains the Rocky Mountains, as well as Las Vegas, Gambling Capital of the US.

Pacific

The westmost section of the US containing the entirety of the Pacific Coast. California, Oregon, and Washington, make up this area, as well as the remaining outlier states of Alaska and Hawaii. While the southern bunch have a strong surfer culture with hot weather, the middle and northern areas are a great deal colder, Alaska being a frozen tundra and Hawaii being a tropical paradise.
